Straton Papagianneas

Straton Papagianneas is a Ph.D. candidate at the Leiden Institute for Area Studies, Leiden University. He studied international law at Wuhan University. He obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Economic Diplomacy at the Brussels Diplomatic Academy and received his M.A. and B.A. in Chinese Studies from the University of Heidelberg and University of Leuven, respectively. He is strongly interested in the socio-legal study of Chinese law, Chinese legal and judicial reforms, criminal justice, and automation of judicial practice, as well as the relationship of these topics to fairness, procedural justice, and broader social developments.
