YAN Hao is the President of the Stanford Club of South China, and the managing partner of JunZeJun Law Offices. Mr. Yan’s main areas of practice are intellectual property (“IP”), dispute resolution (including litigation and arbitration) of major civil and commercial cases, and venture capital investments.
Mr. Yan’s practice covers a wide range of contentious and non-contentious matters, with a particular focus on commercial IP rights, computer, Internet and hi-tech legal matters, and China-related business transactions. In addition to his extensive experiences in the aforementioned areas, Mr. Yan is particularly good at advising and handling large and complex IP enforcement and litigation cases in China. Some cases that he has handled have been included among different batches of “Top Ten IP Cases” selected by the Supreme People’s Court and the High People’s Court of Guangdong Province. He has been identified as a leading IP Lawyer in Asia on numerous occasions by authoritative international journals such as Chambers, Asia Law, and China Law & Practice.
Due to his extensive professional experiences, Mr. Yan was appointed as an arbitrator of the Asian Domain Name Dispute Resolution Center (ADNDRC) in Beijing and Hong Kong in 2009 and is a member of the ADNDRC expert group. In addition, Mr. Yan serves as an arbitrator for several institutions and organizations, including the World Intellectual Property Organization, Hong Kong International Arbitration Center, Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration, Guangzhou Arbitration Commission, and Shanghai Arbitration Commission.
Mr. Yan has studied and worked in Hong Kong for 20 years. He has worked at Baker & McKenzie and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP. Mr. Yan received his Bachelor of Laws degree from Wuhan University, and Master of Laws degrees from the Faculty of Law of the University of Hong Kong and Stanford Law School.
